We use adverbs of degree when we show the intensity of an action, adjective or another adverb.
The main adverbs of degree are:
- Almost (nearly, not yet);
- Extremely (to a very great degree);
- Fully (no less or fewer than);
- Quite (enough);
- Too (more than it should be);
- Very (in a high degree).
Example
- Your dinner is almost ready.
- I have an extremely busy schedule.
- Our office is fully furnished.
- This job is quite interesting.
- Her dress was too small for me.
- She likes Italy very much.
