Wh- Sualları Keçmiş Formada

Introduction

Wh- sualları [wh- questions] həmişə wh- sual sözlərindən [wh- question words] biri ilə başlayır (sual əvəzlikləri), hansı məlumatların axtarıldığını bilmək üçün [A1 səviyyəsində, Wh- suallarının hazırki formasına baxa bilərsiniz].

Wh- sualları keçmiş zamanda [wh- questions in the past], keçmişdən məlumat istəmək üçün istifadə olunur.

Form

Keçmiş zamanda (həm sadə, həm də davamedici), köməkçi və modal fellərin keçmiş formalarından [past forms] istifadə edirik.

Wh- suallarının keçmiş formadakı [wh- questions in past form] quruluşu:

  • With an auxiliary verb:
    Wh- question word + auxiliary verb (past form) + subject + verb +…?
  • With a modal verb:
    Wh- question word + modal verb (past form) + subject + verb + …?
  • Without an auxiliary verb:
    What/who + verb (past form) + …?
    Which/whose + noun + verb (past form) + …?

Example

  1. When was the Second World War?
  2. Where did you live 10 years ago?
  3. Why did she move to London?
  4. Which course did you choose?
  5. What did the director tell you?
  6. Whose child was that?
  7. Who ate all the chocolate?
  8. Whom did he call?
  9. How did you get there?

Misal üçün:
— “Where did you buy this coat?” = Harada [where] açıq sual [open question] təqdim edir, çünki sonsuz sayda cavab verə bilərsiniz.
♦ “Did you buy this coat in the new shop?” = Bəli/xeyr sualları [yes/no questions] qısa cavablar tələb edir, hansıki bəli [yes] və ya xeyr [no] kimi, bunlara qapalı suallar [closed questions] da deyilir.

QEYD: Köməkçilər (olmaq [be] / sahib olmaq [have]…) və ya modal fellər (bacarmaq [can] / bilərdi [could] / olardı [would]…) Wh- sualından sonra və mövzu qarşısında qoyulmalıdır.
