Adjective Gender
Introduction
Form
Regarding the formation of the gender of adjectives, the following information and rules are also important:
- Adjectives ending in -e have the same form in the masculine and feminine;

- Derived adjectives ending in -dor, -sor, -tor form the feminine by adding the ending -a.

Example
- -e:
- La semana que viene hará una temperatura agradable;
- Ha soplado un viento agradable durante todo el día;
- Hay vida inteligente en el espacio después de todo;
- Muchas veces los monos parecen inteligentes;
- La flor y el tallo no se mantienen verdes en otoño.
- -dor, -sor, -tor:
- Todos los meses ella espera a su príncipe encantador;
- Marta pasó una encantadora velada por su cumpleaños;
- El abogado defensor se reúne con la abogada defensora una vez a la semana;
- El aparato receptor de señales falla con frecuencia;
- La jugadora receptora del balón marcó un tanto durante el partido.

Summary
The adjective modifies the noun, indicating its characteristics or qualities. In Spanish, the adjective has gender and number, which must be the same as the noun it accompanies:
- Adjectives ending in -z, -a o -e: they have the same form in masculine and feminine gender;
- Adjectives ending in -án, -ón, -or: we add -a to formalise the feminine.
For example:
— «El árbol verde (=masculine)/ La camiseta verde (=feminine)»;
— «El libro aterrorizador (=masculine)/La película aterrorizadora (=feminine)».
